![From drawing the person sitting across them to playing games and laughing together, Fam Jam Junction was all about spending time as a family.
This is what our Parents as Partners approach at The Vivekananda School, Sector 70 Gurugram is about. Giving parents and children opportunities to be together, participate together and be a part of each other’s school experiences.
When parents take part in these moments, children see their parents in a different space. They see them play, laugh, create and enjoy themselves with them. It brings families closer and also strengthens the bond between parents and the school.
For our Vivekians, having their parents be a part of their school day makes these moments even more special.

![More than just a cooking competition.
Our Vivekians participated in the CBSE Cooking Without Fire Competition, turning a simple challenge into an opportunity to put important life skills into practice.
Through an activity like this, students learn to:
• Plan & organise - from selecting ingredients to deciding how to execute their idea.
• Think creatively - finding innovative ways to prepare and present food without using fire.
• Work as a team - communicating, dividing responsibilities and making decisions together.
• Solve problems - adapting when something doesn’t go according to plan.
• Manage time - working within a given timeframe while maintaining quality and presentation.
• Build confidence - taking ownership of an idea and presenting the final outcome.
These experiences matter because learning is not only about knowing something -‘it is also about knowing how to apply it.
At The Vivekananda School Sector 69 Gurugram, we believe opportunities like these help students develop the practical skills, confidence and independence they need beyond the classroom.
